Rolling numbers to decide how many numbers to use
Delacon’s Phone Lead Alert system can show you which keyword searches trigger calls to your business, by using a dynamic rolling number system. This is a completely unique system and takes what constitutes online success to the next level. By this,
we mean it’s not enough to have x number of hits on your website. Only if those hits are converting into telephone calls can you truly measure the success of your online marketing and advertising.
To determine how many numbers are required to capture this information, we use a simple formula: divide the number of visitors each hour by 60 minutes and then multiply by the time spent on the site.
So for example, if you have 240 visitors to your site each hour, and each visitor stays on the site for less than a minute, then Phone Lead Alert would only require four numbers (240 divided by 60 multiplied by 1).
If each visitor was staying for an average of two-and-a-half minutes, you would need 10 numbers (240 divided by 60 multiplied by 2.5).
We would obviously determine the best solution for you based on the actual number of visitors to your site and the duration of time spent on the site and also make the averages 40 – 80% longer to cater for peak times.
The benefit of our Phone Lead Alert system is that once you know which keywords are triggering telephone calls, your PPC and SEM can start to be refined to support an online marketing spend that is generating telephone calls (and not just website hits).
